The Curiosity Engine is a show which uses the audiences
own questions to create a play in the moment, in a sideshow style –
creating the feeling of a medicine show/scientific fair/delectable diversion.
It is an imagination machine, a fictional enquiry: an engine made of,
powered by and generating … curiosity.
The name is inspired by The
Difference Engine, a device proposed by Charles Babbage
in the 19th Century, considered by many to be the first (mechanical)
computer.

What
the audience say: |
|
|
|
"You
live, go to work, go to sleep, are sad, are angry, wait for the next
moment, are happy, you are contented with your life. Sometimes you find
a good book or you see a film on TV and after that you hold in for a
while, for a short moment, thinking about your situation, about human
being and suddenly there are more questions.
But on a night out, on a very good night out your feet lead you to a
mystic place - to a room where time is not important. And then you can
feel a little bit of your own - Who am I?
If you leave this place it is not over - it holds on for a long time!
Thanks for this moment..."
